Project Presentation - Module 1: New Marin-Epagnier Station The Marin-Epagnier station on the Bern – Neuchâtel line requires significant renewal. The existing public facilities do not meet the requirements of the Disability Equality Act or the platform length standard. As part of the project, the station will be developed into a compliant transport hub with two external platforms, a platform length of 220 m, and a new underpass. Scope of Services - Module 1 The overall construction manager is responsible for the engineering of all track, road, and civil engineering works (including drainage, civil structures, and supporting structures). The contract includes the following sub-phases according to Art. 3.2 SIA 103/2020: - Phase 31: Preliminary Project - Phase 32: Construction Project (Option) - Phase 33: Approval Procedure / Deposit Project (Option) - Phase 41: Tendering, Bid Comparison, Award Request (Option) - Phase 51: Execution Project (Option) - Phase 52: Execution (öBL Optional) (Option) - Phase 53: Commissioning, Completion (Option) In accordance with Art. 3.3 and 3.4 SIA 103/2020, the contractor assumes the tasks in the service areas of overall management, specialist planning, and construction management (Option). The overall construction management is not part of the mandate. BLS reserves the right to take over the construction management of the project itself. The services of the specialist departments and their contractors must be coordinated with their own specialist services (coordinated work program). The fee hours for phases 32 to 53 have been estimated by the client and may not be changed during the tendering process. They will be re-estimated at the end of the preliminary project. After completion of the preliminary project, the client reserves the right to change the project organization. (Option) Project Presentation - Module 2: Marin-Epagnier Signal Box Replacement As part of the station and Disability Equality Act project, the renewal of the signal box system is planned in Marin-Epagnier. Due to the increased shunting volume at the location, an early commissioning of the new signal box system by 2030 offers the opportunity to increase operational safety at an early stage. The installation of dwarf signals will improve the safety of shunting movements and significantly enhance the safety level in daily operations.
