Project Insurance Reactivation of Horlofftalbahn

DB InfraGO AG plans the reactivation of the Horlofftalbahn. The project includes in particular the following individual measures: *Reactivation of the disused traffic stations Hungen-Inheiden and Wölfersheim-Berstadt *New construction of a crossing station – Wölfersheim-Berstadt by erecting a passing loop *Extension of platform 1 at Hungen station *Renewal of the superstructure, civil engineering, and earthworks *New construction of equipment technology (signaling, train radio, power) *New construction of a cable duct from Beienheim to Hungen *Repair of existing bridges and culverts *Renewal or new construction of the technical safety at the existing level crossings as well as closure of further level crossings The investment sum for this project is estimated at EUR 79.8 million. Of this, approx. EUR 6.352 million has already been billed under an existing contract. The insurance contract newly tendered here will replace the existing contract. Construction is currently planned until 30.06.2028. The insurance contract begins after the end of the tender procedure with the date of award, following a currently existing preliminary coverage. (Type M) In liability insurance, the sum insured per claim is EUR 25,000,000 flat for personal injury, property damage, and financial loss, including environmental liability insurance benefits. In professional liability insurance, a separate sum insured per claim of EUR 10,000,000 flat for property damage and financial loss is available. The aforementioned sums are maximized three times. The Extended Maintenance in the construction and assembly insurance part is 42 months. The extended reporting period in liability insurance is 10 years, in environmental liability and environmental damage insurance it is 5 years. The general deductible is at least EUR 25,000. There is no deductible for personal injury. In professional liability insurance, extended planning coverage is included. Within the scope of extended planning coverage, the deductible is EUR 100,000.
