Original language: Portugueseo Dotar o CEJEIA e os seus investigadores de meios, modernos e atualizados, para desenvolvimento de investigação científica, mormente os grupos que desenvolvem e se propõem desenvolver trabalhos de investigação com métodos quantitativos que implicam recurso a software e valências específicas e para o qual o hardware e a respetiva capacidade e funcionalidades são essenciais - a saber: Grupo de Direito Público e Ciências Políticas (em particular o Observatório Eleitoral Internacional) e Grupo de Direito Penal de Criminologia (Justiça Restaurativa e Delinquência Juvenil: Um Projeto de Investigação-Ação);
o Equipamentos do CEJEIA, no campus do Porto, são limitados e os investigadores dos projetos referidos usam equipamentos da FM ou pessoais;
o Os computadores são essenciais para o desenvolvimento do trabalho de investigação a que se propõem, sendo que os computadores portáteis permitem que o hardware seja usado em contexto de entrevistas ou inquéritos locais, ou outras formas de "trabalho de campo" para recolha de dados, mas também divulgação de investigação científica;
o Em qualquer caso, os equipamentos portáteis permitem a utilização fora do Centro, mormente em deslocações para eventos e iniciativas no exterior (nacional e internacional).
