Performance of Routine Inspections of Bridges and Culverts - Area 2

This tender concerns the provision of routine inspections for bridges and culverts within Area 2, adhering to the Czech standard ČSN 73 6221. The scope of work includes conducting these routine bridge inspections and subsequently discussing the findings with specialists from the Road and Railway Directorate (PÚ). Additionally, the contract covers the routine inspection of culverts, also in accordance with ČSN 73 6221. The procurement is driven by the legal obligation to perform regular routine inspections of bridges and culverts, as mandated by the aforementioned standard. The service providers must possess at least a certificate for performing routine bridge inspections. It is noted that major bridge inspections are handled under a separate contract (RS 01UK-002559) awarded by the General Directorate. Inspections of underpasses were largely procured in 2020 and typically have a five-year validity period. Due to concerns that stringent qualification requirements for underpass inspections might unduly limit the number of potential bidders, these have been excluded from this specific tender. If necessary, underpass inspections will be procured separately in compliance with the Public Procurement Act (ZZVZ).
