About This Opportunity

Translated

This tender concerns the general planning and consulting services for the Inntal Tunnel, specifically related to its reinvestment and integration with the Brenner Base Tunnel (BBT). The BBT, a crucial component of the Munich-Verona railway axis and a key part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) Axis No. 1, is over 55 kilometers long and forms a vital link in the north-south rail traffic. The northern connection of the BBT will be integrated into the existing Inntal Tunnel via the Aldrans junction. The Inntal Tunnel, operated by ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG, was commissioned in 1994 as part of the Innsbruck bypass. In preparation for the BBT project, a parallel emergency tunnel was constructed between the Tulfes portal and the Aldrans junction. This emergency tunnel is connected to the Inntal Tunnel via cross-passages spaced every 333 meters, ensuring safety and accessibility in emergency situations. The scope of this tender involves comprehensive planning and consulting to facilitate the integration of the BBT and the necessary upgrades to the Inntal Tunnel infrastructure, ensuring its continued operational efficiency and safety in conjunction with this major European rail project. The specific focus areas include the section from the Fritzens-Wattens Junction 2 to Junction I 1 (Gärberbach Junction).

This is a consulting contract in the architecture and engineering, transport and logistics and construction and civil works sectors, with a focus on Feasibility Studies, Project Management, Railways and Construction Supervision. Located in Austria, Europe, this opportunity is open to firms and consortiums.
