The department brings together policy, regulation and program delivery across energy, climate action, biodiversity, water management, forests and emergency preparedness. DEECA partners with industry, communities and government agencies to support innovation, strengthen environmental outcomes and ensure reliable, affordable and clean energy systems. Suppliers engaged through this tender will be contributing to initiatives that help Victoria transition to a low-emissions economy while protecting and enhancing the state’s natural resources. This procurement is for the provision of state-wide Groundwater Monitoring Services, which is needed to support the ongoing collection of consistent and accurate groundwater data that supports effective water resource management by participating organisations. The services are required to ensure DEECA can: • deliver state and commonwealth legislative obligations • support water resource policy and management • support water accounting and compliance DEECA is responsible for monitoring and managing groundwater in Victoria. Victoria’s groundwater monitoring program is delivered through the Regional Water Monitoring Partnership (RWMP). The Groundwater partners are DEECA and up to 8 participating organisations including rural and urban water corporations and the EPA. DEECA procures and manages the monitoring services, contract and data on behalf of the groundwater partnership to ensure data collection, storage and publication consistency across the state.
