Description

The contract enables pharmacies to dispense Varenicline, a medication design to support individuals in quitting smoking. The contracts have been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 - Direct Award Process B.
9 Pharmacies have been awarded an individual contract to deliver the Varenicline service. The service will be contracted for a period of 12 months from 1st February 2026 to 31st January 2027 plus 2 x 12 month extensions. The contract value is approximately £27k over the 36 month period. It is not possible to accurately state the exact value as the services are demand led.
The contract awards have been made following direct award process B under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Additional information: The service will be contracted for a period of 36 months from 1st February 2026 to 31st January 2029. The contract value declared in section 11.1.7 is the approximate contract value over the 36month period.
