Naast vraagstukken op het gebied van huisvesting, onderwijs, participatie en bestaanszekerheid ervaart een deel van deze doelgroep psychosociale uitdagingen als gevolg van ontheemding, verlies, langdurige onzekerheid, sociale ontwrichting en het opbouwen van een nieuw bestaan in Nederland. De gemeente Almere zet daarom preventieve psychosociale ondersteuning in voor Oekraïense ontheemden.
