Senate Properties is carrying out the procurement on behalf of Defence Properties. Senate Properties is responsible for the practical implementation of the procurement process. Defence Properties will make the procurement decision and contracts.
The subject of the procurement is maritime transport services in the service areas of Eastern, Southern and Western Finland of Defence Properties.
The maritime transports to be procured relate to personnel and equipment transport.
Most of the islands have a pier to which one can dock, and in some locations, the transport equipment must be able to dock at a ramp site or unload cargo at a natural harbor.

The supplier must identify its environmental impacts, strive to reduce emissions and the environmental load caused by its operations, and utilize resources efficiently. These matters are described in more detail in the framework agreement model.
The supplier may use a subcontractor or a resource subcontractor for service provision. If the supplier wishes to use subcontractors, this must be stated on the ESPD form when submitting the offer. The tenderer may submit an offer for one or more sub-areas.
