Framework Agreement Habitat and Habitat Type Maps 2027-2030 Client: Province of Gelderland This concerns the creation of and advice on habitat type maps and nitrogen-sensitive habitat type maps of Natura 2000 areas for which the Province of Gelderland is the initiator, in the period 2027 to 2030. The maps will be based on existing data (particularly vegetation mapping in combination with aerial photographs), supplemented with field checks where necessary. The focus of the work is on the habitat type maps. This involves the creation of T1 and T2 maps. These are updates of the available T0 and T1 maps. It also includes support in answering questions about habitat type maps, particularly in relation to permit granting and management plan processes. The agreement primarily involves desk work (processing existing data), supplemented by field checks. The habitat type maps will be delivered as a GIS file with accompanying explanatory document. Nitrogen-sensitive habitat type maps involve the demarcation and updating of nitrogen-sensitive habitat types. This also involves both desk work and field checks. The results will be delivered as a GIS file with accompanying explanatory report, and will be processed by the Province of Gelderland into habitat maps for AERIUS. Currently, method development for mapping nitrogen-sensitive habitat types is underway within the framework of the national Improvement Program VHR-Monitoring (VVM). The outcomes of this will partly determine the format and scope of the work on habitat type maps.
