Framework agreement Print (2025-2026)

The contractor must ensure that the print products listed in the product and price list attachment can be produced and that this is done promptly or on time. Print template: Stiftung Lesen will provide the contractor with printable data (PDF), usually electronically. The data must be checked by the contractor as standard. Print approval: The contractor will send a color-binding proof or a PDF for approval to Stiftung Lesen within two days of receiving the data. The approval of the proof/PDF or correction instructions will be provided by the client promptly via email. Correction work must also be carried out within a maximum of two days and sent to the client as a proof/PDF. As a rule, a digital release file is sufficient. If a hard proof is required, the client will inform the contractor when placing the order. Any additional costs incurred will be estimated in a separate offer and borne by the client. One-time, minor corrections are included in the offer price and will not be charged separately. Production / Sustainability: All print orders must be implemented according to sustainable standards, i.e., climate- and environmentally friendly as well as resource-saving in both the printing process and the use of materials. Legal regulations must also be considered in the long term (§13 German Federal Climate Protection Act, §45 Circular Economy Act, Duty of Care Act, AVV-EnEff, future AVV Klima, Holz-Erlass, as well as EU regulations such as Deforestation-Free Supply Chains). It may happen that project partners, such as public institutions, require production on FSC(R)/PEFC-certified (or comparable) materials. Thus, FSC(R) certification of the supplier is a prerequisite for participation in the award procedure. In addition to FSC certification, the contractor has EMAS, DIN ISO 14001, Blauer Engel or equivalent certification and primarily offers products and papers that meet environmental and sustainability certifications such as Blauer Engel or Euroblume. By agreement with the client, all print orders should largely be printed on recycled paper. Contractors can advise the client on environmentally friendly alternatives and offer them. Delivery: For each order, the contractor must send an order confirmation with the specific schedule to the client via email. To ensure planning security for the client, the maximum delivery time until the ordered print products arrive at the client is prescribed to the contractor. The following delivery times apply from print approval: Brochures: maximum 10 working days Posters: maximum 6 working days Folders/Flyers: maximum 6 working days Letterheads: maximum 5 working days Various print products: maximum 10 working days Disproportionate over-deliveries must be avoided. Deliveries are free of charge to Mainz and the surrounding area (Mainz + 50 km as the crow flies). If the delivery address is external, the client will receive 10 sample copies. These must be planned in addition to the print run. For large quantities, shipping will be on Euro exchange pallets. The delivery must be announced by the contractor to the client or the specified external delivery address (external partner). The respective delivery conditions of the external partners must be observed. Deliveries to the Stiftung Lesen's home address cannot be made as pallet shipments. The delivery dates are in the period from 07.01.2025 to 31.12.2026. If the client extends the framework agreement (see IV.), the delivery dates will extend to 31.12.2028.
