Framework agreement for the design of UBA publications in Corporate Design (2026-2029)

The German Federal Environment Agency (Umweltbundesamt - UBA) is seeking to establish a framework agreement for the design and layout of its publications, including brochures and graphics, adhering to its corporate design guidelines. This initiative aims to ensure a consistent and professional presentation of the UBA's diverse and often time-sensitive content. The scope of work involves setting German and/or English position papers, background papers, and technical brochures. Additionally, the contract will cover the creation of German and/or English guides, manuals, A6 brochures, flyers, and cross-media graphics.

Based on previous years' experience, the UBA anticipates an annual volume of approximately 40 brochures, 5 flyers, and graphic design services equivalent to about 20 person-days. Specifically, this includes around 25 background or position papers (average 24 pages, A4 format), 10 technical brochures (average 40 pages, A4 format), 5 guides or manuals (average 24 pages, 17x23 cm and 21x21 cm formats), and 5 flyers (DIN long format, 6-8 pages, with various folding options).

The UBA will provide InDesign CC and/or IDML templates for all specified formats. Contractors are required to set the final text within these templates, strictly following the existing character and paragraph styles and the UBA's corporate design. Detailed requirements, specifications, and execution terms will be outlined in the tender documents. This framework agreement is intended to run from 2026 to 2029.
