The Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), AöR, hereinafter referred to as the Contracting Authority (AG), intends to establish a framework agreement for the sampling and testing of ballast within the U-Bahn (subway) system. This procurement covers all activities directly related to the sampling of ballast, the preparation of test reports, and the subsequent evaluation of the findings. The services must be performed in a technically sound and professional manner, strictly adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and administrative provisions currently in force.

The framework agreement is being tendered for an initial period of eight years. The first four years constitute the firm term of the contract. Following this initial period, the Contracting Authority reserves the right to extend the agreement twice, with each extension being for a duration of two years. This option for extension provides flexibility for the AG to continue the services if needed.
