Framework agreement for bus transport services for major events within Germany

A framework agreement is being tendered for bus transport services for the currently three DAAD scholarship holder meetings per year within Germany. The meetings take place at a university location in Germany (= venue). The number may vary depending on DAAD's funding from its grant providers and will be determined annually by DAAD. The meetings serve to deepen DAAD's contacts with its scholarship holders, but also to build networks among the scholarship holders themselves. Furthermore, we offer participants the opportunity to listen to scientific lectures or to give a lecture themselves. A cultural supporting program and a joint closing evening round off the program. The format of the scholarship holder meetings, the locations and dates are determined by DAAD. The current format provides that the events always begin on Friday afternoon with the arrival of the participants and end on Sunday after breakfast. Approximately 50 DAAD employees travel for support and usually participate in the entire program. Participants are usually accommodated in four to five hotels at the respective venue. Participants are brought from their individual university locations to the venue by the bus company in groups. The pick-up locations and the respective venue are usually within a radius of a maximum of 500 km. The pick-up locations with the number of people to be transported are determined by DAAD. On-site, participants are transported from the hotels to the university and to other locations in the surrounding area (up to a maximum of 50 km) of the university location according to the program.
