Gegenstand der Ausschreibung ist die Erbringung von ärztlichen Leistungen für das Gesundheitsamt der Stadt Essen im Rahmen der zweiten Leichenschau bei Feuerbestattungen gemäß § 15 des Gesetzes über das Friedhofs- und Bestattungswesen (BestG NRW) sowie vor der Beförderung einer Leiche oder Totgeburt in das Ausland gemäß § 16 Abs. 5 BestG NRW. Das Gesundheitsamt ist als untere Gesundheitsbehörde gemäß § 15 Abs. 1 BestG NRW dazu verpflichtet, vor jeder Feuerbestattung eine zweite Leichenschau durchzuführen. Mit der Durchführung einer zweiten Leichenschau soll bestätigt werden, dass kein Verdacht auf einen nicht natürlichen Tod besteht.
