Framework agreements for construction sites, object planning

The Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science e.V. (MPG) is a non-profit research organization funded primarily by public funds. It currently maintains and operates 84 institutes and other research facilities of various sizes, structures, and tasks throughout Germany, which are primarily dedicated to basic research in the natural sciences and humanities. The contractor (AN) to be commissioned will be engaged as a so-called "external construction site for building construction" with services for building construction and external facilities (external construction site for building construction), primarily with services for the respective building maintenance at the client's (AG) properties. In the context of building maintenance, the AN will support the MPG institute/facility and the construction department with building maintenance measures. Building maintenance will be carried out in accordance with MPG guidelines and the contract specifications. The subject of the services to be awarded is, based on the scope of services for object planning with support services for renovations in existing buildings, building maintenance measures, remediation work, and construction measures in existing laboratory and institute buildings of the MPG. In individual cases, the AN may also be commissioned with services for individual construction measures. The contract to be awarded includes services of LPH 2-9 in accordance with § 34 ff. HOAI 2021, i.e., the planning and execution of building construction trades with the presence and coordination obligation of specialist engineers. All construction measures will be carried out in existing buildings and during ongoing research operations. This requires consideration not only of the special requirements regarding technical facilities but also of the scientific workflows customary in research buildings. In this respect, the Max Planck Society not only emphasizes that applicants for Lots 1-31 can demonstrate profound knowledge in the field of laboratory planning but also have experience in carrying out remediation measures during ongoing operations. Specific technical requirements: Building maintenance measures in laboratories, offices, and special experimental areas, renovations in existing buildings, remediation work, and individual construction measures must be carried out simultaneously at the individual institutes within one year. During the presentation, the client must be shown planning and realization competencies in the following aspects: • Remediation, modernization, change of use • Renovations, extensions, additions, partly of listed buildings • Facade remediation • Concrete remediation • Energy-efficient renovations • Measures to preserve building fabric • Laboratory construction during "ongoing operations" By submitting a participation request, applicants declare that they are able to perform the services within the period specified below and that they have the necessary professional, personnel, and material resources for this purpose.
