Description

Agency: WHO | Reference: WPRO/DAF/SAO/SUP/P/0009695 | Type: Request for proposal WHO is seeking a qualified, eligible and competent proposer to undertake a Rapid AI-Evidence Review to identify priority AI-for-health use cases with relatively mature clinical and/or real-world evidence tailored to the health priorities and settings of the Western Pacific Region. The review will assess the strength and maturity of available clinical and real-world evidence, map representative AI solutions and their implementation experience, and identify key evidence gaps. Its findings will provide a foundation for the curated list of validated AI use cases requested by Member States and will inform WHO's broader support on AI for health in the Region. Artificial intelligence (AI) offers growing opportunities to strengthen health systems in the Western Pacific Region, from improving diagnosis and clinical decision-making to enhancing the efficiency of health services. Member States in the Region have identified three priorities in AI for health for which they seek WHO support: (i) identification of priority use cases; (ii) building the ecosystem needed to operate AI safely and ethically; and (iii) capacity building of the health workforce.
