RDW in Chełm. Renovation of Voivodeship Road No. 812 on the section Łowcza – Chełm from km 99+436 to km 102+400 and from km 113+800 to km 116+000

1. Scope of works includes, among others: - Measurement works. - Corrective milling of asphalt pavement up to 4.0 cm thick, - Mechanical cleaning of the pavement and inter-layer tack coating with asphalt emulsion. - Construction of a wearing course made of AC 11S asphalt concrete, 5 cm thick. - Height adjustment of existing driveways with asphalt pavement to the new pavement level using mineral-asphalt mixture. - Height adjustment of existing driveways with unpaved surfaces to the new pavement level using asphalt aggregate within the road lane. - Height adjustment of existing driveways, lay-bys, and sidewalks with block paving to the new pavement level within the road lane. - Shoulders made of asphalt aggregate/aggregate 0-31.5 mm, 1.0 m wide and 10 cm thick. - Reconstruction of horizontal markings. 2. Designed works: • Pavement Road renovation is designed in reference to existing parameters – carriageway width 6.10 - 6.60 m. Crossfall of the carriageway on straight sections is roof-shaped 2%, on horizontal curves it is single-sided, adjusted to the curve parameters. Pavement structure: - Wearing course made of AC11S 50/70 KR 3-4 asphalt concrete, min 5 cm thick, - Corrective milling - maximum depth of 4.0 cm, intended to eliminate deformations in the longitudinal and transverse profiles, including: local elevations at culverts under the roadbed and between wheel tracks, and at the edge of the carriageway. Increasing the milling depth in a range that could significantly reduce the thickness of existing structural layers is not permitted. • Shoulders Unpaved shoulders are to be constructed with a width of 1.0 m and a thickness of 0.10 m using asphalt aggregate from corrective milling of the pavement and crushed stone aggregate 0-31.5 mm supplied by the Contractor. The sub-base for the shoulders should be properly profiled. If the level in the sub-base is too low, it should be filled with soil meeting the requirements for the upper zone of the road body. Spoil from excavations for the shoulder bed should be incorporated into the earth shoulders, and any excess shall be managed by the Contractor at their own expense. If existing vertical markings and traffic safety devices interfere with the work during the construction of the shoulders, they should be dismantled and reinstalled, or work in their vicinity should be performed manually so that the signs and barriers are not damaged. • Drainage Drainage of the aforementioned sections will not change. Crossfalls and longitudinal gradients allow water to flow to existing roadside ditches and combined sewers.
