Digital Inverted Fluorescence Microscope System Specifications. 1. Purpose: The National Institutes for Quantum Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as "Quantum Life Research") aims to build a "Quantum Life Technology Verification Platform for Use Case Expansion" as part of the activities of the Quantum Technology Innovation Hub (Quantum Life). This platform will be used for research and development to expand the lineup of biological quantum sensors, accelerate the clinical application of cancer metabolic diagnosis using hyperpolarization, and establish design principles for molecules and cells that exhibit quantum effects. This project will procure a digital inverted fluorescence microscope necessary for verifying intracellular quantum sensing for the expansion of the biological quantum sensor lineup. This will accelerate research and development and foster early innovation by speeding up the development of new nano-quantum sensors. 2. Specifications and Performance: Must meet the following specifications. [1] Digital Inverted Fluorescence Microscope System (1 set). 1. Must be an inverted microscope in a box type that does not require a darkroom. 2. The field of view of the observation optical system must be 25. 3. The maximum pixel count of the built-in camera must be 7.8 million pixels or more. 4. LED light sources must be used for both bright-field and fluorescence illumination. 5. Must have a built-in infrared projection type focus maintenance mechanism. 6. The objective lens revolver must be capable of mounting 6 or more lenses. 7. Must have a filter wheel and filter turret, and they can be used in combination. 8. Specifications of objective lenses are as follows: - 4x: Numerical aperture 0.2 or higher, working distance 20mm or more. - 10x: Numerical aperture 0.45 or higher, working distance 4mm or more. - 20x: Numerical aperture 0.8 or higher, working distance 0.8mm or more. - 40x: Numerical aperture 0.95 or higher, working distance 0.25-0.16mm. 9. Fluorescence filters must include DAPI, FITC, mCherry, and Cy5 (4 colors). 10. Must be equipped with a stage-top incubator compatible with 100% CO2 gas. 11. Control software must include analysis functions. 12. Must be equipped with a 532nm laser for external introduction. 13. The 532nm laser must be a photo-excited semiconductor laser. 14. The output of the 532nm laser must be 5W or higher. 15. Must have an optical port that allows for the additional mounting of a digital camera. 16. Must be equipped with a back-illuminated CMOS camera. 17. The quantum efficiency of the back-illuminated CMOS camera must be 95% or higher. 18. The effective pixel count of the back-illuminated CMOS camera must be 2300 (H) x 2300 (V) or higher. 19. Must have an optical system for introducing the 532nm laser into the microscope unit. 6. Installation and Adjustment: Installation conditions must meet the following requirements. (1) This equipment shall be installed at the location specified in 4. (2) If any equipment other than the primary side equipment (electrical equipment) prepared by the institute is required, it shall be discussed with the institute's representative, and instructions shall be followed. The costs shall be included in this procurement. Related equipment and supplies necessary for wiring work, etc., shall be included in this procurement. (3) The scope of work related to the installation of this equipment includes equipment transportation, installation, piping, wiring, adjustment, and repair of walls associated with the installation work. (4) Transportation, installation, piping, wiring, and adjustment of equipment shall be carried out in consultation with the institute's representative and according to their instructions, so as not to interfere with the institute's education and research.
