Specifications for Purchase of Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope System
1. Purpose: The Quantum Life Science Research Center of the National Institutes for Quantum Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as "QST") aims to build a "Quantum Life Science Technology Verification Platform for Expanding Use Cases" as part of the activities of the Quantum Technology Innovation Hub (Quantum Life). This includes R&D for expanding the lineup of biological quantum sensors, accelerating the clinical application of cancer metabolic diagnosis using hyperpolarization, and establishing design principles for molecules and cells exhibiting quantum effects. This project will expand the application to microorganisms such as pathogenic bacteria/drug-resistant bacteria, gut symbiotic bacteria, and antibiotic-producing microorganisms, thereby accelerating R&D and creating early innovations, by developing a confocal laser scanning microscope system for expanding the lineup of biological quantum sensors. Currently, the measurement targets for biological quantum sensors are limited to human cells such as cancer, immunity, brain and nerves, and regenerative medicine.
