Work Overview
1. Project Title: Quantum Science and Technology Research and Development Organization (Chiba Area) Cyclotron Building Toilet Renovation Work
2. Project Location: Cyclotron Building, Chiba Area, National Institute for Quantum Science and Technology, 4-9-1 Anagawa, Inage-ku, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture.
3. Project Purpose: The toilets on the first floor of the Cyclotron Building, located at the Chiba Area of the National Institute for Quantum Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as "our institution's Chiba Area"), have been in use for several decades since the former National Institute of Radiological Sciences era. Although repairs have been made as needed when problems occurred, frequent issues such as pipe blockages have arisen, necessitating fundamental equipment renovation. These toilets are used not only by staff but also by many visitors. Renovation is required to maintain a minimum working environment and prevent a decline in hospitality.
4. Completion Deadline: March 31, 2027 (Wednesday).
5. Work Content: As per the attached site description and design drawings. This work involves the renovation of sanitary facilities, etc., in the Cyclotron Building within our institution's premises. Furthermore, this work will be carried out while the Cyclotron Building continues to be operated as a research and experimental facility (construction during research and operations).
The contractor shall maintain close communication and coordination with the supervisor, facility users, facility managers, and関係者 involved in other contracts being carried out within our institution, and complete the work within the specified period in cooperation with them.
6. Precautions During Construction:
- During construction progress, create a detailed work schedule, prepare construction materials, labor safety measures, etc., and ensure safe and rapid progress. Also, pay attention to protecting existing buildings, etc., during construction and take necessary measures for that purpose.
- Prior to commencing construction, conduct thorough site surveys and report to the supervisor.
- Respond sincerely to inquiries from nearby residents and immediately report the results to the supervisor.
- Regarding noise, vibration, dust, etc., generated by the construction, pay close attention to the period before 9:00 PM and after 5:00 PM on weekdays, as well as throughout Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, and the New Year holidays (December 29 - January 3) (hereinafter referred to as "holidays"), as the East Building for Heavy Ion Medical Acceleration is very close to residential areas. In particular, be mindful of avoiding complaints from nearby residences before 10:00 AM and after 5:00 PM on holidays.
- During construction, pay close attention to ensuring that the passage of pedestrians and entry/exit to adjacent buildings, as well as the passage of pedestrians and vehicles within our institution, are not hindered, and take sufficient safety measures, such as securing passage as necessary.
- When implementing traffic control for this work, consult with the supervisor at least two weeks in advance, prepare materials for notification and coordination within our institution, and such materials shall indicate the regulated date and time for each traffic control location. Furthermore, fully consider the traffic control implemented for other contracts being carried out within our institution, and implement traffic control while ensuring that no buildings or facilities become inaccessible from within or outside our institution. Traffic control within our institution will only be implemented on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and the New Year holidays (December 29 - January 3). When implementing traffic control, always set up a detour and ensure that there are no isolated areas within our institution.
- Follow the prescribed procedures at the guardhouse when entering the premises.
- For the use of fire, obtain prior approval from the supervisor and complete the necessary procedures within our institution.
- If any buildings, facilities, piping, wiring, or other items are damaged due to this construction, the contractor shall promptly restore them to their original condition at the contractor's expense.
