The Government of the Republic of Chad benefits from financing from the International Development Association (IDA) for the implementation of the Chad Connectivity and Integration Project (PCIT) and intends to use part of this financing to make payments under the contract for the recruitment of a Consultant/Firm responsible for the identification, mapping, and analysis of agribusiness value chains in the Project Intervention Area. The PCIT primarily aims to facilitate trade, improve regional connectivity, and strengthen the marketing of value chains with significant economic potential. 2. Objectives of the Mission
2.1. Overall Objective
The overall objective of the mission is to conduct an integrated study enabling:
- Identification and mapping of associations, cooperatives, and economic actors involved in trade, agriculture, livestock, fishing, and transport sectors;
- Analysis of the current state of agribusiness value chains in the project intervention area;
- Identification of constraints, opportunities, and priority needs of the actors;
- Proposal of priority value chains to be supported within the framework of the PCIT and priority actions that the project could support to improve their competitiveness and regional integration. The study should also identify sectors and development opportunities that could be financed by the grant and Matching Grant mechanism.
