Description

An advanced contract award notice (ACAN) is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date and time stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier. 1. Definition of the requirement: Policy on Reciprocal Procurement: the Policy on Reciprocal Procurement does not apply to this procurement. The Correctional Service of Canada has a requirement to provide in person support and assistance to Indigenous offenders to help them enter the workforce, including real-life, day to day mentorship and job preparedness development. The work will involve the following: 1.1 Objectives: The Contractor must provide reintegrative supports to Indigenous offenders, including First Nations, Métis and Inuit, such as Elder support, cultural teachings, counselling and hard and soft employability skills. The Contractor must provide jobsite support and engage with Indigenous offenders to check on morale, workmanship, and identify whether issues that may be arising that require intervention. 1.2 Tasks: The Contractor must provide reintegration and transition support services and interventions through job training including but not limited to: 1. Identifying and triaging, based on need and release dates, Indigenous offenders who require support for release planning. This includes but is not limited to, those who are under CSC custody with a release occurring during the period of the contract and are participating in CSC CORCAN and Pathways initiatives. 2. Providing continuous reintegration services to offenders under the Contractor’s care up to t. UNSPSC: *Rehabilitation services *Vocational rehabilitation services (*85122100 *86101803).
