The Purchaser provides air navigation services to domestic and foreign air carriers within the Reykjavik Control Area, and it provides air navigation services to both domestic and international flights within one of the largest control areas in the North-Atlantic region known as the Reykjavik Control Area. General description of the opportunity oThe Purchaser requests tenders for the purchase of a VCS. As the existing Voice Communication Systems are approaching the end of their life cycle, the Purchaser intends to renew the following Voice Communication Systems: -VCS for Reykjavik Area Control Centre -VCS for Test and Validation -VCS for Training (AVIANS School). -VCS for Keflavik Airport (optional). -VCS for Keflavik APOC (optional). AVIANS is preparing a Tender for Voice Communication Systems that: -is IP based architecture -is built using high availability architecture -is built using redundant design -VCS core components are deployed on COTS hardware -is built using proven Hardware architecture -is built using state of the art Software architecture -is cost-effective during the whole life cycle -allows expansion as operational needs arise -provides ergonomic and user-friendly CWP GUI and management HMI -is flexible and allows to operate any role from any position without any geographical restrictions -has cybersecurity built into its core -is equipped with powerful monitoring tools that provides a complete health status in near real time. The Supplier will be responsible for delivering a VCS that fully complies with the Technical Specifications and requirements outlined in the tender documentation.
