Description
To enable the Department of State Growth ( State Growth ) to deliver on its response and recovery support arrangement under the Tasmanian Emergency Management Arrangements ( TEMA ) it needs to be able to draw on additional civil and civic construction and other specialist services to support community wellbeing following disaster events. Emergency management and recovery reforms and review of incidents has identified the need to be able to source civil and civic contractors and specialised expert advice services to perform activities such as large scale disaster clean up, prepare sites for temporary accommodation villages, or obtaining expertise in hazardous material management or structural engineering to support emergency response and recovery activities in a timely manner when state agencies and local government have exhausted their availability to provide these services through their normal arrangements. The structure and operation of this Multi-Use List ( MUL ) component of the Resource for Emergency Assistance Panel ( REAP ) will permit State Growth, other Tasmanian Government agencies and Councils to source services from a variety of suitably skilled and qualified contractors and consultants, quickly, competitively and efficiently. While this MUL process will identify and appoint registrants who meet the relevant conditions for participation, the engagement of these suppliers by the relevant entities will be subject to relevant procurement requirements for the procuring agency, including market approach and mandatory contracting considerations. The range of services required within the MUL framework has been grouped into the following Categories of Registration: Category A: Professional Services Category B: Specialised Equipment Services Category C: Logistics
