This document is a request for information, not a procurement notice or a request for tender. With this request for information, HUS launches a market consultation to prepare a procurement. The aim of this prior information notice is to find suppliers operating in this field of business, get information of the solutions available in the market, and inform our plans and requirements for the forthcoming procurement.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE OF THE PROCUREMENT
The subject of procurement are label printers for use in Operating Rooms at HUS to support tissue bank and bone bank activities.
The device will be used for printing labels that are attached to storage bags and pots used for deep freezer and cryogenic storage.
The device must be compatible with cryogenic labels designed for deep freezing at -80 C down to -190 for liquid nitrogen storage.
These labels must be sufficient size around 4 cm x 7 cm or larger. Ideally the device should be able to handle cryolabels of various sizes used for different use cases.
Labels must remain adhesive, legible, and barcode readable after freezing.
Printer must be compact, lightweight, and easily portable for movement between operating rooms.
