Request for proposals for a Business Development Consultant

Malaria Consortium is seeking an experienced business development professional with extensive track record in coordinating proposal development and particularly in facilitating project design. Knowledge of health programming, as well as research and evaluation programming — particularly for infectious disease and malaria — would be desirable. Familiarity with translating complex technical content into clear, structured and high-quality proposal responses is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering successful proposals for a wide range of funders, both institutional and philanthropic. Evaluation Criteria Applications and proposals will be evaluated based on the following attributes: - Availability throughout the required period 30% - Relevant experience and expertise 40% - Cost-reasonableness 30% Submission of Applications Interested individuals and firms are welcome to submit applications and proposals with the following requirements: - A paragraph (no more than 300 words required) expressing interest and outlining relevant experience. - A CV of the professional(s) assigned to this work. - Professional fee rates in USD$ or specified local currency. Upon evaluation and assessment of suitability, you may be invited to a short (30-45mins) interview to discuss the scope of the assignment and resolve any further questions. Due to the urgency of the assignment, availability for an interview will be required within 1 or 2 working days of submission. To be submitted within 2 days of invitation to interview: - Proof of professional indemnity insurance or relevant insurance. - At least 3 client references for similar pieces of work done. - Company registration documents for firms.
