Resource study: Development of an analysis tool for evaluating Power-to-X and Biomass-to-X routes of PtX Lab Lausitz

The goal is an analysis tool that can calculate the resource requirements of PtX and BtX routes based on six predefined intermediates. For this purpose, the routes are broken down into modules. Each module generates its own resource profile. The module parameters and reference values can be viewed and adjusted within defined limits. The total resource requirement for each route is composed from the resource profiles of the individual modules by balancing the modules sequentially. For this, the analysis tool links a module database, a process-step-based balancing logic, and an operating and configuration level that can be used independently by the client in a reproducible overall system. Applicability will be demonstrated using selected example configurations and plausibility checks. Furthermore, resource profiles created with the analysis tool can be further investigated using sensitivity and scenario analyses.
