Description

Central Highlands Regional Council (Council) operates the Emerald Saleyards and has a clearing dip which services thousands of cattle each year. Council's current objective is to upgrade existing areas and utilise spaces that will overall improve operational use and provide a safer and more reliable working environment. Council have provided draft/concept drawings for the addition of gates to the Emerald Saleyards dip area, currently it has 90-degree passages with pull down portable panels. Construction to the area will optimize cattle flow and accessibility, improving livestock welfare, driving higher processing volumes and increased sales.
