RHK Ltd. nuclear property insurance service

This tender concerns the provision of nuclear asset insurance services for RHK Kft. The insurance coverage will extend to several key facilities and office locations across Hungary. The primary insured sites include the Interim Storage Facility for Spent Fuel (KKÁT) in Paks, the Radioactive Waste Treatment and Repository (RHFT) in Püspökszilágy, and the National Radioactive Waste Repository (NRHT) in Bátaapáti. Additionally, office buildings in Paks (BOIÉ), Budaörs, and Pécs, as well as the Mecsek site in Kővágószőlős and the BAF research area, are included in the scope of coverage. The total sum insured for all assets amounts to HUF 139,494,265,701. A significant aspect of this tender is the overall claims limit of HUF 30,000,000,000 per insurance event and for the entire period, applicable to all insured sites. Specific sub-limits are defined for various risks, including decontamination costs under the nuclear extension clause (ranging from HUF 2,000,000,000 to HUF 20,000,000,000 per event), secondary effects of lightning strikes (HUF 20,000,000), burglary and theft (HUF 10,000,000), vandalism (HUF 5,000,000), and glass breakage (HUF 5,000,000). Insured expense reimbursements, excluding decontamination costs, are capped at HUF 200,000,000 per event. All these costs, including decontamination and sub-limits, are covered within the overall claims limit. A deductible of EUR 1,000,000 (converted to HUF at the prevailing MNB exchange rate) per insurance event applies to the nuclear sites (KKÁT, RHFT, NRHT) for all insured risks and the nuclear extension clause.
