Roonagh Pier - Repair and Upgrade Works
Description
Roonagh Pier has been undermined structurally over the passage of time and now requires to be upgraded and repaired. The works required will include the following elements of work. (This is a non-exhaustive list of the potential works elements.) โข Piling through the existing pier structure and into solid bedrock below the pier structure โข Provision of a new in situ reinforced concrete deck overlay slab to the pier over its full length โข Repair and upgrading of berthing face โข Repairs and upgrading to elements of the pier structure โข Repair and upgrade of access steps for ferry boat berthing โข Provision of new pier furniture, bollards, ladders, rings โข Upgrade of general signage, services, power, water and public lighting โข Temporary removal of pier crane and re installation on new pier deck surface The works are envisaged to be completed over a period of 8 months between September 2026 and the end of April 2027. It is envisaged that a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 tenderers will be invited to tender for the repair and upgrade works contract.
