Výzkum využití pokročilých statistických metod a metod strojového učení a AI ke zvýšení citlivosti monitorovací radiační sítě (MRS) a zrychlení odezvy MRS na radioaktivní kontaminaci v ovzduší. Hlavní metodou je aplikace prediktivního modelování založeného na strojovém učení a umělé inteligenci na data z online senzorů i běžných laboratorních měření. Přínosem je citlivější odhalování anomálií v monitorovacích datech kontaminace ovzduší a tím dosažení vysoce včasného odhalení kontaminace ovzduší i stopovým množstvím radionuklidů a predikce v době mezinárodních radiačních hrozeb v důsledku konfliktu na Ukrajině a současně přesnější odhad lokálního radiačního pozadí. Hlavní cíle a výsledky jsou zlepšení interpretovatelnosti výstupů monitorování radiační situace prostřednictvím atmosférického modelování. Potřeba okamžité dostupnosti dat bude řešena instalací dedikovaného serveru pro plně autonomní běh modelu HYSPLIT s možností vzdáleného uživatelského přístupu. Výsledkem projektu je modernizované odběrové zařízení využívané v monitorování radiační situace. Konkrétně se jedná o úpravy scintilačních modulů (pro zařízení JL Hunter) a rozšíření polovodičové gama spektrometrie o další modality, včetně alfa/beta detektorů (pro zařízení JL Snow White).
