A total contractor order is being tendered for all planning and construction services for the renovation of a cantonal road, including civil engineering structures, drainage, retaining structures, utility lines, and temporary measures over the entire project perimeter. Planning Services The contract includes all engineering and construction management services of SIA phases 51-53 as basic services according to SIA 103 (Overall management and specialist planning, excluding site supervision). This includes, in particular: Execution planning, schedule and construction sequence planning Planning of all temporary measures, safety and construction support measures Quality assurance, testing and control planning Coordination of all stakeholders and specialist planners Construction management including cost, quality, and schedule control. The services must be provided in compliance with the requirements of the Project Manual for Engineers (PHI) of the Canton of Aargau. The site supervision separately commissioned by the client does not release the total contractor from their tasks and duties as construction manager. Realization Services The realization services include all construction work for the timely, cost-effective, and quality-compliant construction of the structure in accordance with approved execution documents and the bill of quantities. This includes, in particular: Implementation of all measures, including temporary measures, safety and construction support measures Compliance with all laws, standards, and regulations Ensuring occupational safety and health Compliance with collective labor agreement provisions Scope of Work Road and Civil Engineering Structures Renovation of the entire road structure over approx. 2,310 m length and an average width of 6.20 m Installation of two PE 120 utility pipes with new manholes Bank protection with concrete barriers on micropiles in steep embankment areas: S-40097, km 1.760–1.955, length approx. 170 m S-40096, km 1.055–1.170, length approx. 114 m Construction of a new nail wall S-40098 on the uphill side, km 1.760–1.946, length approx. 180 m Stream diversions / culverts Replacement of Gulibach culvert B-7314 with new DN 1,200 mm pipe, including new inlet and outlet structures Replacement of Gwindenbach culvert B-7301 with new DN 1,000 mm pipe, including new inlet and outlet structures Drainage and Environmental Protection Restoration of road drainage over the shoulder, with the exception of groundwater protection zones S2 and S3 Installation of an uphill DN 250 mm drainage pipe with emergency overflows and inspection shafts (largely continuous) In protection zones: separate road drainage with double-walled drainage pipes and edge seals with SN8 support plates Restoration of the green strip for road water infiltration via a living soil layer Utility Construction Construction of a new AEW utility block, km 1.715–2.310, length approx. 600 m Relocation of a DN 125 mm water pipe for the municipality of Bergdietikon over approx. 180 m Construction of a new street lighting system with 6 lanterns, including supply line over approx. 200 m Replacement of the sewage pipe (house connection) Plot 1948 Additional Services Execution of all general construction works Construction of vehicle restraint systems Execution of all necessary marking work Planning, design, and coordination of all traffic management and traffic control measures by the total contractor in close coordination with the Traffic Safety section of the ATB. The total contractor is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and realization of the measures within the defined project perimeter.
