Kuusamon kaupunki hakee pohjarakennesuunnittelijaa hankkeelle, jossa rakennetaan urheiluvalmennuskeskustoimintaan sekä alueen urheilukilpailu-, kongressi-, kokous- sekä tapahtumatoimintaan tilat. Suunnittelutoimeksiantoon sisältyy myös koko stadionalueen ulkosuorituspaikkojen sekä niihin liittyvien tilojen pohjarakennesuunnittelu tarjouspyyntöasiakirjojen mukaisessa laajuudessa. Hankkeeseen kilpailutuksen kautta valitun arkkitehti- ja pääsuunnittelijan toimesta on laadittu hankkeelle hankesuunnitelma sisältäen selvityksen ja alustavan suunnitelman kustannusarvioineen Rukan stadionalueesta ja valmennuskeskuksesta. Hankkeessa siirrytään hankesuunnitteluvaiheesta nyt alkavaan varsinaiseen rakennussuunnitteluvaiheeseen ja kilpailutettaviin alasuunnittelijoihin.
