Die AG werden als Bauherren in den kommenden Jahren Baumaßnahmen durchführen, bei denen regelmäßig auch Tätigkeiten mit Schadstoffen (z.B. Asbest, KMF, PCB, Schwermetalle etc.) und daran anschließend die Entsorgung (gefährlicher) Abfälle durchzuführen sind. Dies betrifft z.B. Sanierungs- und Modernisierungsmaßnahmen in Bestandsgebäuden, Umbaumaßnahmen sowie Abbruch- und Neubauvorhaben. Die Bauvorhaben werden teilweise unter Beauftragung von Generalunternehmern ausgeführt und teilweise unter Einzelvergabe der beteiligten Gewerke. Zudem kauft der AG verschiedene Immobilien an, bei denen ebenfalls Tätigkeiten mit Schadstoffen anfallen können. Um einen fachgerechten, ordnungsgemäßen, wirtschaftlichen und zügigen Umgang mit Schadstoffen und (gefährlichen) Abfällen zu gewährleisten, führt der AG ein Schadstoffmanagement durch.
