Dabei werden regelmäßig die Standard-Basis-Transaktionen auf Fehlermeldungen geprüft - sowohl direkt in den relevanten SAP-Transaktionen als auch anhand eingehender Systemmeldungen per E-Mail, bzw. über ein aktives Auswerten der Reports in SAP for Me. Ein weiterer wesentlicher Bestandteil ist das Einspielen von Hotfixes sowie SAP- und LfA-Fach-Releases, um die Systeme stets auf dem aktuellen und sicheren Stand zu halten. Dazu zählt auch die Analyse, Bewertung und das Abarbeiten von Schwachstellen im Baramundi-System, um die IT-Sicherheit nachhaltig zu gewährleisten. Zu den Aufgaben in der SAP Basis gehören zudem Betrieb und Wartung des SAP Solution Managers (z.B. Einspielen von Security-Patches, Anlage neuer Änderungszyklen, Analyse von Transportproblemen). Neue eingehende Tickets (Incident-, Problem- und Change-Management) werden kontinuierlich bearbeitet.
