LEBANON - GREATER BEIRUT WATER SUPPLY PROJECT

This invitation for prequalification follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business No. wb: op00010488 of August 23rd, 2011 on-line.
The Lebanese Republic has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) toward the cost of the GREATER BEIRUT WATER SUPPLY PROJECT, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for SCADASYSTEM FOR THE GREATER BEIRUT… (BWW3-2-2). The BEIRUT AND MOUNT LEBANON WATER ESTABLISHMENT (BMLWE) intends to prequalify contractors and/or firms for Design, Built (Supply & Install) and Operate of a SCADA SYSTEM. It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in November 2015. Contract duration for design and build is 12 months in addition to 36 months of Operation and Maintenance.
Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works, and non-consulting services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants, January 2011 revised July 2014, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries, as defined in the guidelines.
Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification document at the BEIRUT AND MOUNT LEBANON WATER ESTABLISHMENT (BMLWE) (address below) from 9 AM to 2 PM daily from Monday to Friday. A complete set of the prequalification document in English may be purchased by interested Applicants on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 500 US$ (Five Hundred United States Dollar) excluding VAT. The method of payment will be either in cash or by check or by "Bank Transfer" to the Account number714291134 IBAN LB26 0999 0000 0001 0027 1429 1134 at BANQUE DU LIBAN. The document can either be picked-up from BMLWE at the below address or sent by mail to the bidder's address at the additional cost of 200 US$ after receiving a copy of the 700 US$ (excluding VAT) "Bank Transfer" receipt along with information on the address of the bidder.
Applications for prequalification should be submitted in sealed envelopes, delivered to the address below by September15th, 2015, 12:00 Noon, and be clearly marked "Application to Prequalify for GREATER BEIRUT WATER SUPPLY PROJECT - SCADA SYSTEM FOR THE GREATER BEIRUT (BWW3-2-2).
