Original language: GermanDie Kläranlage Emscher-Mündung (KLEM), betrieben durch die Emschergenossenschaft und Lippeverband (EGLV), reinigt das Abwasser eines Teileinzugsgebiets um den früheren Oberflächenkanal Emscher. Heute wird die Kläranlage (KA) über einen Abwasserkanal mit vorgeschalteten Pumpwerken beschickt. Es reinigt das Abwasser von ca. 1.000.000 Einwohner und ist damit eine der größten Anlagen in NRW. Das zu reinigende Abwasser setzt sich so-wohl aus häuslichem Schmutzwasser als auch industriellem Schmutzwasser aus dem vom bergbau-geprägtem Ruhrgebiet zusammen. Die Emschergenossenschaft plant den kompletten Neubau der z.T. schon 50 Jahre in Betrieb stehenden Schlammbehandlung der Kläranlage Emscher-Mündung, die Sanierung der drei Faulbehälter und deren Umrüstung auf Serienbetrieb. Als Werkleitungsgang zwischen der Schlammbehandlung und dem Zulauf wird der heute abwasserführende Maulprofilkanal umgenutzt und um eine Abzweigung Richtung Faulung erweitert. Des Weiteren wird ebenfalls das Pumpwerk zur Förderung des Faulschlamms Richtung KA Bottrop neu erstellt, von wo aus zwei neue Druckleitungen (je 0.65 km) bis zum Anschlusspunkt (Rohrbrücke) an die bestehenden Druckleitungen angeschlossen werden.
