De doelstelling van de opdracht is het zorgen voor een hygiënische en schone werkomgeving in het kantoorpand van de gemeente waarbij de medewerkers zo min mogelijk last hebben van de werkzaamheden. Verder vindt de gemeente het van belang dat mensen met een afstand tot de arbeidsmarkt en arbeidsgehandicapten participeren in het arbeidsproces. Op grond van artikel 2.82 van de Aanbestedingswet 2012 is deelname aan deze aanbestedingsprocedure voorbehouden aan sociale werkplaatsen, ondernemingen met als hoofddoel de maatschappelijke en professionele integratie van gehandicapten of kansarmen, of programma’s voor beschermde arbeid. Voorwaarde is dat ten minste 30% van de werknemers binnen de betreffende sociale werkplaats, onderneming of het programma bestaat uit gehandicapte of kansarme werknemers. De gemeente Laarbeek streeft naar een hygiënische, zichtbaar schone, gezonde en prettige (werk)omgeving voor alle werknemers, bezoekers en gebruikers van het gemeentehuis.
