Description

Occupational health and radiation protection health services, the latter with qualification as "Ermächtige Arzt" (“Regierungsbezirk”), for exposed staff of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Karlsruhe (DE). The tasks will include: - Medical check-ups of staff exposed to ionising radiation or to conventional risks (periodic visits, pre-recruitment examinations, examinations on return to work) - Systematic and occasional (post-accident) visits to the workplace and site facilities - End of work visits - Ergonomic visits - Medical interviews and consultations - Participation in CSHT (Joint Committee on Safety and Health at Work) meetings - Return-to-work examinations following long illnesses or accidents - Participation in prevention campaigns organised by the Medical Service The service provider must be able to issue opinions on the basis of visits carried out, results of available analyses (blood and urine tests), radio toxicology analyses, either in the context of routine visits (annual visits, pre-recruitment visits), or in the context of radiation protection for controlled areas, or on particular topics such as respiratory masks. The occupational physician must carry out ergonomic visits to the work environment and must also deal with possible medical emergencies.
