Findings on the comprehensibility and practicality of the plan for different age groups of children and adolescents and their parents are lacking. Furthermore, the role of socio-cultural factors such as language barriers in implementation has not been sufficiently investigated. With this funding measure, the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) intends to fund a research project that investigates the use of the medication plan with special consideration of the specific requirements of pediatric drug therapy. Based on the results, optimization potentials relevant to care, especially with regard to digital processes, are to be identified and recommendations for action derived.
