Aufbauend auf bisherigen Arbeiten wird das IHFG eine neuartige, eigenständige und transportable Quantenlichtquelle zur Realisierung von Quantenkommunikationsexperimente auf Faserstrecken realisieren: Alle erforderlichen Geräte werden in einem speziellen Rack installiert, damit der Aufbau in Standard-Telekommunikationsinfrastrukturen integriert werden kann.Eine der Komponenten wird ein eigenständiges System mit geschlossenem Kreislauf sein, mit dem supraleitende Nanodraht-Einzelphotonendetektoren betrieben werden.
