The University of Turku has requested tenders for the provision of cleaning services for the next contract period. This replaces a previously published, suspended procedure. The subject of the procurement has been the maintenance cleaning services, periodic cleaning work, and additional cleaning services for properties and premises used by the university on the Turku campus or elsewhere designated by the Client. The current sites are detailed in the appendices. The cleaning area of the Turku campus includes buildings and other sites located on and around the Turku campus where the University of Turku is responsible for organizing cleaning services. The tenderer was required to submit a tender for the entire area. The tender sought a single supplier to provide the cleaning services according to the request for proposals in the locations designated by the Client under the tendered conditions. Changes may occur in the premises during the contract period, and units may, for any reason, have to move temporarily or permanently to another similar space in or near the cleaning area, in which case cleaning services must also be provided in the new locations designated by the Client under the tendered conditions. The data may differ somewhat from, for example, floor plan data. To ensure the comparability of tenders, the tender (requested unit prices) will be made based on the data in the relevant Excel file. The actual square meters with cleanliness levels will be updated to correspond to the start of the contract period. Appendix 4 describes the specific needs of certain buildings and/or premises that the service provider must take into account separately. Appendix 1a compiles the clarifying questions asked during the previous tender process and the answers given to them. The answers clarify the requirements of the request for proposals and will also be taken into account in this tender. The contract begins on May 1, 2026, from which date the selected service provider will be responsible for cleaning the sites according to the requirements of the request for proposals at the tendered prices and conditions. The estimated, non-binding value of the procurement for the contract of indefinite duration, calculated in accordance with Section 30 of the Procurement Act, is six (6) million euros excluding VAT.
