Description
Short description
The aim of this contract is to inform the development of Wales’s next Carbon Budget Plan (2026-2030) through the provision of analysis of data resulting from a series of engagement events held in 2025/26. Information resulting from this analysis should be provided to the Client in a timely manner through regular emerging findings presentations, as well as be communicated in a report, summary report and children’s version. The report should summarise key patterns and themes across the events and different trends between them.
More specifically, the objectives of this contract are as follows:
Analysis:
• Explore and utilise qualitative analysis methodologies that would enable incorporating a breadth of data into the report.
• Summarise the main themes, questions, challenges, opportunities that are evident in the data as well as issues arising that do not fit with the broader emerging themes.
Communicating with the Client:
• Provide the Client with at least 3 presentations of emerging findings and engage through regular meetings and updates with the Client. This may require a systematic approach to data analysis that should be agreed with the Client at inception.
• Present overall findings to the Client, including diagrams and infographics.
Reporting:
• Produce a high quality, engaging report to be published in English and Welsh in November 2026.
• Produce an accessible, engaging summary document that can be shared with organisers and participants of each engagement event (to include infographics and diagrams) in English and Welsh.
• Produce an accessible children’s version of the report in English and Welsh for sharing with schools involved in the Bluestone and Climate Conversations community events.
