City of Eichstätt New construction of the fire station

The Große Kreisstadt Eichstätt is planning to build a new fire station for the Eichstätt Volunteer Fire Brigade at the "Freiwasser" site. As part of the project, technical equipment planning services are to be awarded for the following plant groups: • KG 410 Wastewater, water and gas systems • KG 420 Heat supply systems • KG 430 Air conditioning systems • KG 470 Use-specific systems The project includes a fire station with a vehicle hall, wash bay, workshops, breathing apparatus workshop, changing rooms, sanitary areas, training and administrative rooms, as well as the associated technical and outdoor facilities. The planned gross floor area is approx. 2,170 m². Special requirements apply to the use-specific systems for fire fighting technology, especially in the area of the breathing apparatus workshop (KG 470) with associated compressed air, testing, cleaning, hygiene and storage areas. Furthermore, the separation of clean and dirty areas, washing and decontamination areas, hose maintenance, and ensuring operational capability as critical infrastructure must be taken into account in the planning. The technical equipment should generally be economical and robust. An energy-efficient and low-maintenance building operation with the simplest possible technical standard ("low-tech") is planned, as far as this is compatible with the fire fighting technology requirements. Compact technical systems, the lowest possible operating and maintenance costs, and high operational reliability are aimed for. The question of the type of heat generation/heating is to be economically compared and clarified in the course of the planning process. Due to the location on the Freiwasser, requirements for flood and operational protection must be included in the planning at an early stage. Planned project schedule (preliminary): • Start of planning: Q4 2026 • Submission of building application: Q2 2027 • Tender for construction services: from Q4 2027 • Estimated start of construction: Q1 2028 • Estimated completion/commissioning: early/mid-2030 The technical equipment planning services according to § 55 HOAI will be awarded in stages. . The contract will be awarded for service phases 1-9 in stages. There is no entitlement to be awarded further stages.
