Description
EPIN: 02521N0049IT IS THE INTENT of the New York City Law Department (Department) to enter into a one year extension contract with the vendor Veritext, LLC (Veritext), pursuant to PPB Rules Section 3-04(b)(2)(iii). Under the current contract, Veritext provides stenographic reporting and related services.
The purpose of this extension contract is to maintain continuity of services while the Department completes the procurement of a new stenographic reporting and related services contract. The contract term of the extension contract will commence as of April 15, 2021 and continue through April 14, 2022, at which time the newly procured contract for these services will commence. The cost of the contract is in an amount not-to-exceed $1,500,000. The Departments Agency Chief Contracting Officer (ACCO) has determined (1) that there is a compelling need to extend the contract beyond the permissible cumulative twelve-month limit; (2) that the proposed term of the extension is the minimum necessary to meet the need; and (3) that award of the contract is in best interest of the City of New York.
