Road construction Lochhamer Straße

The municipality of Gräfelfing intends to fundamentally reconstruct Lochhamer Straße in the section between Paul-Eipper-Weg and Rottenbucher Straße. Lochhamer Straße is currently in a substantially deteriorated condition along its entire construction length. All traffic areas – roadway, parking spaces, and sidewalks – show significant damage in the form of cracking, break-ups, and deformations of the asphalt surface, which necessitate a fundamental renewal of the road construction. Furthermore, the existing road drainage in the form of infiltration shafts without upstream pre-treatment no longer meets the recognized rules of technology. It will therefore be replaced by a technically upgraded system, consisting of filter shafts with integrated sediment and pollutant retention, as well as underground pipe trenches for throttled infiltration of rainwater. Each trench system will be preceded by a control shaft, which ensures the regular maintenance, inspection, and cleaning of the trench boxes. Since a large number of utility lines (conduits) are present in the entire construction area, special protective measures must be taken during the construction of the drainage systems to preserve the existing lines. In the course of the construction work, new district heating lines will also be laid. This includes laying new pre-insulated composite pipes (KMR system) in a supply and return line, as well as installing associated house connection lines and shut-off valves. The route will be coordinated with the district heating supplier, taking into account the required minimum distances to adjacent conduits. All pipe connections will be executed as welded joints with subsequent jacket welding to ensure the long-term tightness and integrity of the thermal insulation. The operational readiness of the district heating supply will be maintained by section-wise rerouting or activation during the construction phase. Additionally, separated cycle paths and sidewalks will be constructed on both sides of the roadway, ensuring safe and compliant guidance of non-motorized traffic. Due to the multitude of trades involved and the necessity of maintaining local traffic during the entire construction period, the construction work is planned to be carried out in several consecutive phases. This tender includes the specialized lots for traffic management, district heating lines, and road construction work.
