- The Government of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire has received financing from the World Bank to cover the cost of the Water Security and Sanitation Support Program (PASEA) and intends to allocate part of the proceeds to consulting services for the Supervision and control of works i) for the implementation of ten (10) multi-village drinking water supply systems in the northern region of Côte d'Ivoire, ii) for the drinking water supply of Soba and the surrounding localities of Frototou and Komatou (S/P Kani).
- The consulting services ("the Services") include the execution of control and supervision tasks for the works i) for the implementation of ten (10) multi-village drinking water supply systems in the northern region of Côte d'Ivoire, ii) for the drinking water supply of Soba and the surrounding localities of Frototou and Komatou (S/P Kani), while ensuring compliance by the various companies with the provisions of the adopted Site Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP). Thus, the Consultant will be responsible for:
a) verifying the material and human resources mobilized by each company in charge of the works and its subcontractors within the framework of the sub-projects (quantity and quality);
b) verifying the technical studies for the execution of the works and/or proposing design adjustments/modifications if necessary;
c) establishing, after each validation of plans, an updated Quantitative and Estimated Cost (QEC) of the works;
d) determining the main topographic axes and benchmarks to be used by the companies in charge of the works for setting out;
e) controlling the setting out of structures and the measurement of structures;
f) controlling the origin, source, and quality of materials, either at their place of manufacture or upon arrival at the site;
g) carrying out quality control and monitoring of the works and quantities implemented;
h) ensuring compliance with contractual deadlines and the work plan proposed by the companies in charge of the works;
i) evaluating secondary modifications necessary for the proper execution of the works, proposed by the company in charge of the works;
j) organizing weekly and monthly site meetings, technical meetings, preparing minutes of these meetings, and sharing them with the Delegated Contracting Authority and the works company;
