- The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Kenya Digital Economy Acceleration Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply, Delivery & Commissioning of Interactive Digital Content for Competency Based Curriculum for Grade 9. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.
2. The Information and Communications Technology Authority (ICTA) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply, Delivery & Commissioning of Interactive Digital Content for Competency Based Curriculum for Grade 9: Lot 1: English, Lot 2: Kiswahili, Lot 3: Mathematics, Lot 4: Integrated Science, Lot 5: Agriculture, Lot 6: Creative Arts & Sports, Lot 7: Christian Religious Education, Lot 8: Islamic Religious Education, Lot 9: Hindu Religious Education & Lot 10: Social Studies Pre – Technical Studies. The location of the assignment is at Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development and will be for a period of six (6) months.
3. Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” First Published in July 2016, Revived Fifth Edition, September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from ICTA, Deputy Director Supply chain management / procurement@ict.go.ke and inspect the bidding document during office hours 0900 to 1600 hours East African Time (EAT) at the address given below.
6. The bidding document in English may be downloaded free of charge by interested eligible Bidders from the ICTA’s website https://www.icta.go.ke/tenders or Public Procurement Information Portal website https://www.tenders.go.ke Bidders who download the bidding documents are invited to notify the purchaser by e-mail with full contact details if they intended to participate, as this will facilitate issuance of notifications by the Purchaser during the procurement process, to all bidders where necessary
7. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 25th June 2026 at 1000Hrs EAT. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. The outer Bid envelopes marked “Original Bid”, and the inner envelopes marked “Technical Part” will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend, at the address below on Customer Care Office, 12th Floor, Telposata Towers, at 1000Hrs EAT on 25th June 2026. All envelopes marked “Second Envelope: Financial Part” shall remain unopened and will be held in safe custody of the Purchaser until the second public opening.
8. 9. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
