Description

The Auditor-General and the ACT Audit Office operate independently of the ACT Government. The Audit Office assists the Auditor-General in carrying out functions under the Auditor-General Act 1996, including undertaking audits of ACT public sector entities and reporting the results of those audits to the ACT Legislative Assembly. Icon Water Limited (Icon Water) prepares an annual Sustainability Report in accordance with applicable legislative and reporting requirements. To support the provision of independent assurance over these sustainability disclosures, the Audit Office requires the services of a suitably qualified and experienced assurance provider to: (a) undertake assurance of Icon Water's Sustainability Report for the years ending 30 June 2027 to 30 June 2032, in accordance with the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS), and the Australian Standards on Sustainability Assurance (ASSA); (b) support the Auditor-General in issuing an annual Assurance Report on Icon Water's Sustainability Report; (c)ensure the delivery of high-quality, independent sustainability assurance services; and (d) establish a stable, long-term assurance arrangement that promotes continuity, quality and consistency in service delivery.
